Meet Our Vendors-Miranda Blas Art

Miranda is our newest vendor, and is showcasing many of her fine art pieces on The Shop at Amy’s Upcycles.  We were thrilled when she also agreed to create an exclusive line of functional pottery just for us!

Miranda Blas is a Chilean-American, multi-media artist working in sculptural and functional ceramics and plein air oil painting. She received her undergraduate degree from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM and her MFA from The Marchutz School of Fine Art in Aix-en-Provence, France. For Miranda, making art is like breathing. It is a natural, intuitive process that is always happening. Her work is a fusion of fine art and craft, of functional and sculptural; it exists in a magical space between categories. Miranda is inspired by her vision of nature, the human form, feminism, medieval history, the infinitely fascinating world of ceramics, atmospheric firings and much more! She currently lives and works in Philadelphia, PA and offers private lessons and workshops.
